For Parents
STUDY AND PARENTAL CO-OPERATION
Parents and guardians are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline, helping their children or wards, prepare their lessons and taking helpful interest in the activities of the school.
Daily attendance on school work is necessary if a pupil is to make satisfactory progress. Class work, oral and written class tests and written assignments to be done at home will be taken into consideration for promotion.
Parents should see that their children put in adequate hours of study at home. A student in the High school class should put in four-to-five hours of serious study at home every day, while the one in the upper primary class should put in at least three hours of serious work.
Parents are invited to take a helpful interest in the academic work of the school and encourage their children to take part in the co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
Critical remarks about a teacher should carefully be avoided in the presence of the children as this will definitely cause loss of respect for one’s teacher. Parents should discuss such matters with the H. M.
Parents are strongly recommended not to miss the opportunity of the parent-teacher meeting for inquiring about the progress of their children’s studies and other aspects of school life.
Parents are earnestly requested to sign the progress reports or any similar documents when so requested. Failure to do this may put their children and teachers to great inconvenience. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the pupil being SENT HOME, in which case the school
disclaims all responsibility.
It is very important to check the Diary at least once a week in the interest of their own children.
Parents are reminded that the staff members must not be engaged as private tutors for their children without the written permission of the Headmaster.
Parents, guardians or other persons are not allowed to get into the class rooms to see the students or meet their teachers during class hours. They may meet the teachers preferably in the office hours or recess time for which appointment could be pre-arranged.
Parents and guardians are requested to notify the school office in writing of any change in their address of telephone number. In all communications with the school, the name, standard and division of their children should be clearly mentioned.
Parents may meet the H.M. during the office hours or on holidays on appointment.
Management, Headmaster and staff will not be held responsible in any way for any accident or mishaps that may occur to the student, in the school premises or while bringing the students to the school or carrying them back home by bus.
The sick students should not be sent to school.
